From Code to Cues: Learning to Start Over

Somewhere along the way, life threw me curveballs — school, money, burnout — but all of that eventually pointed me toward what really moves me: music. Right now, I’m still early in the journey — a bedroom DJ, a wedding assistant, helping out at raves like Reform and Work here in Los Angeles. I’m learning what it actually takes to build from the ground up — setting up decks, running cables, watching how real DJs move crowds. Transitioning from code to cues hasn’t been easy — mentally, physically, or emotionally. But it’s teaching me more about discipline, patience, and creativity than any classroom ever did.
